It all started with one silver ring from Armenia, my mother's present. It attracted a lot of attention in Cyprus, everyone noticed how different it was from what we usually see on the market here. That's when I thought to share more of Armenian style jewellery with people in Cyprus and generally in the world. Besides, it became one of the ways for me to feel closer to my motherland.
The word IDenteco is translated as "Identity" from Esperanto.
At IDenteco, our goal is to introduce you to the work of Armenian designers-jewellers and handcrafters, who create jewellery items, accessories, clothing, home items that carry the spirit of Armenia—its history, art, culture. For Armenian women and admirers of Armenian craftsmanship each silver pendant, ring, or bracelet is a vessel of memory, meaning, and belonging. It is a way of reconnecting with the roots, wearing something more meaningful than mass-market pieces. Others might be choosing IDenteco because of the rich cultural design and stories behind the jewellery.
